Hospital Medical Biller and Collector needed for large healthcare organization
Fremont, CA
- Experience in hospital billing and follow-up, including appealing denials and underpayments from insurance payers like Medicare, Medi-Cal, Work Comp., Commercial payers, etc.
- In-depth understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle
Responsibilities
- Experience in hospital billing and follow-up, including appealing denials and underpayments from insurance payers like Medicare, Medi-Cal, Work Comp., Commercial payers, etc.
- In-depth understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle
- Strong understanding of Healthcare Information Technology systems to include EPIC, Paragon, Zirmed and/or other types of billing systems.
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Organizational skills and detail-orientation
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
- Healthcare billing or medical coding certification
- Detailed knowledge of EPIC, Medassets, Paragon, ePremis, etc.
- Strong MS Office capabilities to include Word, Excel and Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
- Three years of full cycle billing and collections
- Must have hospital billing experience
- Available to start within one week of interview
- Must have UB-04 Experience
